Do you think that "violet" = "ruddy?"

The Hebrew word for red is adom, the same as Adam's name. Every time you see Adam's name substitute red.

  • No Red One to till the ground, Gen 2:5.

The Hebrew text could but does not distinguish among violet, crimson, scarlet, and red , etc when referring to Adam. Only red.

  • And he said unto the Red One, Gen 3:17.

Ernest,

I am trying to understand your thinking. Are you saying that Adam, the founder of the violet race, had a ruddy complexion?
