Garabandal The Three Great Secrets |
||||||||||
|
In some of the episodes Secrets were revealed. Although the girls described the general sense of the Secrets they were forbidden to reveal the details. Most of our information came through Conchita, from her diary, her letters, and her answers to formal questions by interested persons. Although she was examined by the local Bishop, and had an interview with the Pope, the results of those interviews were never reported. The hierarchy of the Church has a policy to not relay revelation from the celestial realms. They are guided by earthly political concerns, not cosmic realities.
What follows are details gleaned from the several sources listed earlier. Some of this material was edited by the reporters to suit their private tastes. Hence, we do not have a rigorous, nor authentic, published catalog of all statements from the girls.
However, we can determine the essential content of the Secrets from the published evidence. After examination I discovered that none of the Secrets were new; they were all revealed in the Bible. They were Secrets only because the girls, their families, their community, and the Church community in general were not familiar with biblical revelations.
Three Secrets were given: The Warning, The Great Miracle, and The Great Punishment.
A: The Warning is the Great Religious Persecution described by Jesus, and some of the Apostles: Matt 10:21, Mark 13:12, Luke 21:16, John 16:2. (Note made Sept 9, 2005: This also includes the Return of Jesus.) B: The Great Miracle is the resurrection and ascension of the Two Witnesses of Rev 11. C: The Great Punishment is the nuclear holocaust among the nations.
In this Section I shall concentrate on The Warning because of its crucial importance. In order to open this revelation I shall first provide all the public pieces of information we have from Garabandal, and then discuss them in comparison with our traditional revelations. Please be patient while I review. We must be as fair as possible with Conchita and the others in our attempts to understand the subject she described. I postpone comparison with biblical revelation until Section IV.
The Warning
First, we should understand that The Warning was prohibited from publication by celestial agents to prevent usurpation of God=s destiny program. This episode in planetary destiny is crucially important to the discovery of the true Children of God. A great sifting will take place during this period that will separate the wheat from the chaff. To our great sorrow, the cost will be terrible loss of human life among God=s people.
The following come from Our Lady Comes to Garabandal.
We do not know whether Conchita did not know what The Warning will consist of, and hence could not reveal it, or if she knew but was commanded to not reveal it. Perhaps only the general nature of The Warning was described. See below.
Conchita wrote a letter on June 2, 1965. The letter was published in the Journal de Conchita, a French annotated translation of Conchita=s Diary and of certain other documents relating to the Garabandal event. It is the work of G. du Pilier (Paris: Nouvelles Editions Latines, 1967). The letter is found on page 52, note (66). She stated the following:
The statement implies that Conchita knew more about The Warning than she is revealing but felt she could relay it only in private conversation.
Note made Sept 9, 2005: At the time I first discussed this Warning I was unaware of the imminent Return of Jesus. Not until after I had published my discussion of the Fatima events did it dawn on me that Jesus was returning to this world as God, in glorious celestial light. Hence, the above remarks by Conchita were not limited to merely the Great Persecution, but also to His immediate presence. Conchita was also unaware of this specific event. Thus the Return of Jesus and the Great Persecution are intimately intertwined.
At another time Conchita said:
Note made Sept 9, 2005: Here we more clearly see the implications of the Return of Jesus. Again, Conchita was unaware of this event.
On September 14, 1965 a group of people submitted 18 questions to Conchita. Four of those relate to the Warning. The group consisted of Joey Lomangino and several of his friends.
Note made Sept 9, 2005: Here we can see the universal nature of the Return of Jesus. It will be visible throughout the entire world and will be seen by all people. It will be experienced by all people, regardless of their religious beliefs. We also see how Conchita viewed the Warning as a great catastrophe; many people will long for death rather than live through the Warning.
Conchita provided other details of the warning in a report written by her on December 10, 1965. She affirmed she had received this information prior to November 13 of that year.

Finally, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Froelich from the state of New York, interviewed Conchita in October of 1968. Here are the questions and answers from that interview relating to The Warning.
Other pieces of information on The Warning are from other statements. These appear on the garabandal.org web site and are speculative conjectures by other people on the form of The Warning. Some of these remarks are included in statements that can be identified as coming directly from Conchita. See above. They may have derived from private conversations. I offer them for information purposes, but do not accept them as reliable.
Note made Sept 9, 2005: In these repetitive remarks we can clearly see the nature of the Return of Jesus.
I found another reference. According to Conchita=s December 10, 1965 report Jacinta was told by the Vision "that the warning would come when conditions were at their worst." The date was not revealed to the visionaries, however Mari-Loli does know the year; and she said that The Miracle will happen within one year after The Warning.
Clearly, since Conchita did not see a vision of The Warning, she had only verbal descriptions. Hence, her understanding, and that of the others, shows as speculation from those communications.
Note made Sept 9, 2005: The social and political scene will have deteriorated among the nations to bring "conditions to their worst." Since we have adjusted to the world scene we do not have a reliable method to estimate this condition.
Discussion
I shall now tabulate and classify the various remarks to determine if we can penetrate the meaning of The Warning.
The Origin of The Warning
Correction of World Religious Conscience
The Catastrophic Nature of The Warning
This last remark shows the limits of Conchita=s understanding. She knew of The Warning only in general terms, not specifics. In fact, the nebulosity of the remarks about The Warning makes it virtually impossible to discern how this planetary episode will unfold. Only through my intense study of revelation was I able to connect the revelations given to the girls at Garabandal, and those given in the Bible. I concluded that we cannot derive the true shape of The Warning from the Garabandal details, but must take the reverse route: we must examine biblical revelation on the Great Planetary Persecution, and translate that back to The Warning.
The chronology of events is extremely helpful to show how The Warning relates to the Great Miracle and The Great Chastisement. We know that the nuclear holocaust, The Great Chastisement, must come last. No significant earth events can come after The Great Chastisement because civilization will then be destroyed. Survivors will be clawing for food and water; they will have no other social interests until they crawl out of the devastations. The Great Miracle must precede The Great Chastisement. And The Great Miracle must come as the final religious episode after The Warning. The events leading up to The Great Miracle must define the world condition at that time.
Hence, we should be able to deduce the extremity of world conditions when The Great Miracle takes place.
But this forces us to next consider The Great Miracle.
I shall then return in Section IV to consider the biblical foundation for The Warning. |
