The Coming of Christ Michael

P.1915 - 2 "But the times of the reappearing of the Son of Man are known only in the councils of Paradise; not even the angels of heaven know when this will occur. However, you should understand that, when this gospel of the kingdom shall have been proclaimed to all the world for the salvation of all peoples, and when the fullness of the age has come to pass, the Father will send you another dispensational bestowal, or else the Son of Man will return to adjudge the age.

We have here an apparent contradiction in the Revelation. No one knows when Jesus will return except in the councils of Paradise. On the other hand Jesus will return to judge the age. When will he return? When the fullness of the age has come to pass. That is one condition for his return. What is the other? When this gospel of the kingdom shall have been proclaimed to all the world for the salvation of all peoples. If we had some idea when these two, seemingly simultaneous, events were to take place we could know when Christ Michael will return to this world.

Of course, the Father might send another dispensation bestowal. But that is an administrative event, not necessarily associated with the judgment of a troubled world era.

Would the event of Christ Michael coming back, and the proclamation of the kingdom not be coordinated? If Christ Michael is to return, and the world is not ready, would mankind not need an explanation of that return? How would anyone know? By signs in the sky? But who would proclaim that knowledge. Angels? Or ordinary men and women who have been prepared for such task?

Such as those who are members of the Cosmic Reserve Corps of Destiny.

P.1863 - 13 Although Jesus referred one phase of the kingdom to the future and did, on numerous occasions, intimate that such an event might appear as a part of a world crisis; and though he did likewise most certainly, on several occasions, definitely promise sometime to return to Urantia, it should be recorded that he never positively linked these two ideas together. He promised a new revelation of the kingdom on earth and at some future time; he also promised sometime to come back to this world in person; but he did not say that these two events were synonymous. From all we know these promises may, or may not, refer to the same event.

Jesus definitely told us that one phase of the kingdom would occur in the future. But he did not specify which phase, or even what it would be like. We must presume that it was a phase not previously known on earth. On numerous occasions he intimated that such event would appear as part of a world crisis. At that time he promised a new revelation of the kingdom on earth.

If the current world situation, unprecedented in global history, and affecting all levels of life on this planet, from the biological, to the social, to the religious, is not a major crisis, then what other crisis should we expect? Hence, we should expect that this new revelation would appear now, in our own day.

Should we not infer that the proclamation of gospel of the kingdom associated with his return (page 1915) is the same as the new revelation of the kingdom also associated with his return (page 1863)? Why would there be two different but seemingly similar cosmic events? In both cases the Revelation associates this new gospel of the kingdom with his return.

We should expect Christ Michael to appear any day or hour.

But this new revelation does not come through the current institutional structures. It comes through something new. The institutions of the current society are not adequate to this task.

P.1087 - 4 Institutional religion cannot afford inspiration and provide leadership in this impending world-wide social reconstruction and economic reorganization because it has unfortunately become more or less of an organic part of the social order and the economic system which is destined to undergo reconstruction. Only the real religion of personal spiritual experience can function helpfully and creatively in the present crisis of civilization.

Thus we can see that human persons are needed to provide inspiration and leadership in this impending world-wide reconstruction. But these persons would not come from the current social structures. They would come from outside the current social institutions. They would come because of a personal spiritual experience that gives them understanding of real religion. They would come because they have experienced a new spiritual relationship with their Creator, not one tied to the social norms of the past. They would not be part of the current Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, or Islam. Only they can function helpfully and creatively in the present crisis of civilization.

They must be persons who have been taught by an extraordinary communication from the celestial worlds. They can only be Urantians, or someone with an equivalent teaching. They must have arrived at understanding of the kingdom that transcends historical understanding. None of our historical institutions provide that understanding.

When this corps of persons has been prepared, when they are ready to go forth to teach the gospel of the kingdom, then Christ Michael would see that it is time to return to the world of his nativity.

P.1919 - 2 We most positively believe that Michael will again come in person to Urantia, but we have not the slightest idea as to when or in what manner he may choose to come. Will his second advent on earth be timed to occur in connection with the terminal judgment of this present age, either with or without the associated appearance of a Magisterial Son? Will he come in connection with the termination of some subsequent Urantian age? Will he come unannounced and as an isolated event? We do not know. Only one thing we are certain of, that is, when he does return, all the world will likely know about it, for he must come as the supreme ruler of a universe and not as the obscure babe of Bethlehem. But if every eye is to behold him, and if only spiritual eyes are to discern his presence, then must his advent be long deferred.

For the heavenly worlds to tell us that they do not know is downright falsehood. They do know. They know that his second advent on earth is timed to occur in connection with the terminal judgment of this present age. They knew this from time long past. Consider the Melchizedek prophecies which outline this event from at least 500BC. So the doubt expressed here is not for someone knowledgeable in destiny, but for the benefit of unbelievers. That group of unbelievers includes the many dilettantes of the current Urantia organizations. That group of dilettantes includes the numerous followers of the deceptive philosophy that says the Revelation is the result of human construction.

The entire world will know about his return. Christ Michael will appear in a manner that will not leave anyone in doubt. A cosmic event will unfold.  Many godless people of the world will have godless explanations for the event. But those of us who know our God will welcome him with deep understanding. He will come as the supreme ruler of a universe, and not as an obscure babe of Bethlehem. Every eye will behold him, but only his people will truly understand such event. Only spiritual eyes will recognize their Creator when he appears.

Matt 24:27

For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

He will arrive as suddenly as a flash of lightning. Jesus as Michael will display his brilliant presence in a dazzling red light. 

I had evidence of his spiritual presence manifesting itself as a red light. But I failed to recognize what I had.

I know of four reports on visits by human mortals to the residence of Michael on Salvington. They included the ancient prophet Isaiah, the author of the ancient "Book of Enoch," Hatcinondon, an Seneca Indian chief, and Betty Andreasson, (See "The Andreasson Affair"). Two of those give explicit description of the red light which saturates that headquarter world.

Betty had this to say:

"I'm in a place where it's all red. The atmosphere is all red, vibrating red... And their suits look red. Only their head things look blackish-red." Later, in "debriefing," Betty was asked if the redness was an effect from the horizon. This she denied, saying the atmosphere was red all over.

Author of the Book of Enoch had this to say:

And I went in till I drew nigh to a wall which is built of crystals and surrounded by tongues of fire: and it began to affright  me. And I went into the tongues of fire and drew nigh to a large house which was built of crystals: and the walls of the house were like a tessellated floor (made) of crystals, and its groundwork was of crystal. Its ceiling was like the path of the stars and the lightnings, and between them were fiery cherubim, and their heaven was (clear as) water. A flaming fire surrounded the walls, and its portals blazed with fire. And I entered into that house, and it was hot as fire and cold as ice: there were no delights of life therein: fear covered me, and trembling got hold upon me. And as I quaked and trembled, I fell upon my face. And I beheld a vision, And lo! there was a second house, greater than the former, and the entire portal stood open before me, and it was built of flames of fire. And in every respect it so excelled in splendor and magnificence and extent that I cannot describe to you its splendor and its extent. And its floor was of fire, and above it were lightnings and the path of the stars, and its ceiling also was flaming fire. And I looked and saw therein a lofty throne: its appearance was as crystal, and the wheels thereof as the shining sun, and there was the vision of cherubim. And from underneath the throne came streams of flaming fire so that I could not look thereon. And the Great Glory sat thereon, and His raiment shone more brightly than the sun and was whiter than any snow. None of the angels could enter and could behold His face by reason of the magnificence and glory and no flesh could behold Him. The flaming fire was round about Him, and a great fire stood before Him, and none around could draw nigh Him . . .

When Michael visits our planet he will appear in this dazzling red color. The whole world will know it. His spiritual presence will envelope the entire planet.

How will people react to this event? With great psychological shock. Never, in the history of man, has such an event taken place. Tremendous turmoil will affect the planet. Can you imagine what it will be like to have a red light continually shining in your bedroom window? How will a courting man and a women feel with a red light permeating their surroundings? How will the corporate board rooms of the world deal with this red light? How will farmers working their soil deal with it? Many will commit suicide.

Godless astronomers will think it may be a supernova explosion, thrusting its light upon us. Other godless people will provide other godless explanations.

When will he arrive? Probably in the spring time in the northern hemisphere. Most likely around the vernal equinox.

This is the time that Caligastia will be released from his millennia of restraint. Then all hell will break loose.

Do you think that the presence of the Creator of a Universe would not bring world conditions equal to his cosmic power?

Dan 12:1-4
"At that time Michael will arise, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people, everyone whose name is found written in the book, will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to everlasting shame and contempt. Those who have insight will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the book until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall increase."
