2002 - 5

Beckhampton, nr Avebury, Wiltshire. Reported 26th August.

This interesting formation has a 5-pointed star nestled within another 5-pointed star. Since each point is located 75 degrees from the next, the inner 5-points are rotated by 1/2 that number of degrees. The number of peripheral "pillows" between the outer points is 13 in each segment. They are stacked 4-4-3-2, with the lines defining them drawn parallel to the point lines.

Crooked Soley, nr Hungerford, Wiltshire. Reported 28th August.

The finesse of the Circle Makers never ceases to amaze me as they go from one profound creation to the next. The arcs used to create the outer blocks were done before the grain was depressed. One can trace these lines in the depressed grain. This technique was used in previous formations.
