Statement by Stuart Dike:

On the morning of Sunday the 12th of August, an event took place, on the top of the ancient Tan Hill, near Milk Hill, that has finally brought the phenomenon back to the people. An event, so stunning, so breathtaking, so articulate, so vast, that I defy ANYONE not to be impressed, and in awe of what lies in about 4 acres of crop. This formation has taken everyoneís breath away and is without a shadow of a doubt, the greatest formation since the crop circles began!  It is the mother of all crop circles, and covers and area of nearly 700,000 square feet!  Whatever numbers you find within the shear scale of this formation, it will certainly have a lot of numbers behind it. You really canít appreciate the size of this formation, without being inside it. As I stated before, standing in any part of it, and witnessing circles all around you, is quite extraordinary.

Many people heavily involved in the crop circles have experienced dreams of seeing crop circles everywhere they look! Well their dreams has come true, (of which I share) as this is exactly what you see when you stand inside. It is amazing to be able to turn 360 degrees, and see circles all around you.  What is also amazing, is that this field is very undulating, so you canít see the entire formation, only sections of it. When we arrived on the evening of August 14th, there were very few visitors at the time, but their reaction just summed up this event!  Not only is it the greatest formation to form in the entire world, but its grandeur was magnified by its lofty positioning, set high on top of Milk Hill. The views were just as breathtaking as the formation itself.  Most definitely the highlight of the season.

Chilbolton (2), nr Wherwell, Hampshire.
Reported Sunday 19th August.

This is a most remarkable formation. It occurs in the field adjacent to and part of the property of the Chilbolton Radio Telescope, and points directly at the telescope. This is even more remarkable in that the formation depicts the encoding of a message sent into space by the SETI telescope in Arecibo in Puerto Rico in 1974.

That message was the collaboration of Frank Drake, director of the Arecibo telescope facility, and Carl Sagan, the famous astronomer, now deceased. For a thorough discussion of this message and its meaning to this crop formation see http://www.cropcircleresearch.com/articles/arecibo.html  http://claudescommentary.com/special/chilbolton/
